An international aircraft design and production organization J&C Aero has signed a cooperation agreement with International Šiauliai Airport (SQQ), Lithuania. The company will construct and operate an MRO center that will focus on aircraft design, modification and teardown services.

The new MRO center will provide Airbus A320 ceo/neo and Boeing 737 CL/NG/MAX Part 145 services, including but not limited to repair and installation of cabin communication and entertainment systems, commercial and VIP interiors, lighting, linings, panels, as well as a wide range of other equipment for aircraft minor and major modifications and reconfiguration. In addition, J&C Aero’s MRO center will also have a specialized area for aircraft complete teardown projects.

“The pandemics, despite all its challenges, also provided new opportunities as airlines and aircraft owners seek more flexibility with their fleets. That is why we decided to expand J&C Aero’s existing DOA/POA and CAMO capabilities and launch our own MRO center. In addition, seeing a rising demand for used spare parts and supporting the industry’s efforts to be more sustainable, we have also decided to launch the region’s first aircraft teardown site with a capacity of several aircraft per month,” commented Laurynas Skukauskas, the CEO of J&C Aero.

The company is an EASA-certified aircraft design and production company, specializing in comprehensive aircraft cabin modification, CAMO and engineering solutions. J&C Aero is also the manufacturer of EASA-approved (STC #10073073) Cargo Bags for double and triple seats to transport commercial and humanitarian cargo inside passenger cabins.

“We are delighted to welcome our new partners with whom we will further develop as a cluster of aviation services. Moreover, the upcoming teardown site will allow the airport to stand out from other MRO locations in the region, as J&C Aero will be one of only a few companies in Europe that provide in-house design, production and teardown services”, shared Aurelija Kuezada, the CEO of International Šiauliai Airport.
